Location

50 miles southwest of Washington D.C., 45 min. from Dulles Int'l Airport, and 1 hr. from National Airport. The secluded campus is nestled in 1,200 rural acres in the heart of Virginia’s Piedmont.

Meeting Facilities

For 50 years, Airlie Center has operated with a single focus on hosting productive meetings. From strategic planning sessions to seminars, conferences and retreats, an experienced staff anticipates meeting needs. 17 updated conference rooms feature built-in technology, comfortable ergonomic chairs, refined décor, and ample windows providing natural lighting and pristine views. Airlie’s North Campus offers additional levels of privacy for groups seeking a more self-contained setting. Airlie Center is environmentally certified by Green Seal and the Virginia Department of Environmental Quality.

Services

Dedicated in-house conference planner for every meeting. In-house A/V equipment and management. 24-hour front desk and guest support. Faxing, copying and business services. Private landing/airstrip on campus. Secure meeting and executive protection services available.

Dining & Entertainment

Cuisine emphasizes local and regional products, such as homegrown vegetables from Airlie’s organic garden. Staff will work with clients to create memorable dining experiences. Private dining can be buffet style or seated banquet.

Accommodations

150 tastefully appointed rooms with eight private, en suite cottage rooms. Each room is equipped with private bath, high-speed Internet, cable TV, radio-alarm clock, in-room coffee service, iron & board, hair dryer, magnetic lock. All accommodations are close to Airlie House, the Center’s hub. It’s an easy walk from any of the seven lodging buildings to anywhere on campus. Guests may borrow one of the loaner bicycles.

Recreation

Airlie’s natural setting provides a scenic backdrop for jogging, biking, fishing, volleyball, softball, horseshoes, tennis and skeet shooting. Guests enjoy Airlie’s swimming pool, gardens and trails, and evenings at the Whistling Swan Pub. Also available are teambuilding programs such as culinary competitions, ropes courses and fishing lessons, or arrange hiking, golf outings and horseback riding in the immediate area.

Meeting Equipment

Full-spectrum digital projection equipment and built-in or portable audio, with dedicated and certified audio-visual staff support. 6MB of shared WiFi bandwidth, 3MB dedicated conference call capabilities. Skype to meeting room, Second Life simulcasts from meeting room. Polycom equipment for Internet teleconferencing. Microphones, podiums, flipcharts, whiteboards, pads and pens all provided.

Meeting Support Services

Experienced conference planners guide clients through the planning process to ensure each meeting is seamless and successful. Ample support personnel, including professional on-site IT/AV staff, respond to any client need. Airlie staff can customize activities such as culinary teambuilding and organic garden tours.

Transportation

Dedicated planners can assist with any transportation requirements for groups.
