As we leave the winter behind, I reflect on what has been quite an active time for our members and IACC. The road to success has a few more steps to take before the year is out and we are already looking forward and planning for 2018.
It has been great to see a number of member meetings this year, these events are only made possible by the hard work of our board members and numerous volunteers. We enjoyed our time together in Melbourne in January and if you made it, I hope you valued time with your colleagues in my home city! It was great to show off all that I think makes this a top place to live and work!
On August the 8th Cliftons hosted a networking drinks for our members in their new venue in Spring Street, Sydney. The new concept C-suite offers first class dining and lounge facilities any time of the day. Chefs and Barista’s are on hand to ensure a delicious break is available whenever you need it.
Thank you to my fellow board members, many of which stepped into the role at the beginning of the year and are already making a big difference. Many hands make light work they say and what I see is our board wanting to do more and more to give the members great events and conferences and to build our presence in the meetings industry.
We are focused on putting on a great show in Auckland next February and I hope to see each of our members join us in this great city. More information on the event and program can be found here.
Earlier this year, we welcomed the Redrock Resort Mongolia into the chapter membership. For those who have not seen the venue, take a look online, it looks incredible! I was also delighted to bring my new venue, Karstens Auckland into membership recently, joining Cliftons in the city that will host our next conference and where I hope to meet you all in person next February!
