Committed to Brilliance -
Committed to Being Sustainable

Sustainability is increasingly important as an evaluation criterion for meeting planners and venues are often asked about their implementation of specific green initiatives as part of a bid.

A survey by the Natural Marketing Institute reported that 58 percent of U.S. consumers consider a company’s impact on the environment when making purchase decisions and are more likely to do business with those that follow sustainable practices. You can rest assured that every IACC member venue is committed to reducing negative effects on the environment and strives to operate in a sustainable way.

IACC venues think about the impact of your event, so you don’t have to. Our venues make a firm commitment to reduce any negative effects on the environment through a range of initiatives from reducing their carbon footprint and improving the air and water quality at their venue, to employing a comprehensive sustainability initiative such as IACC’s Green Star Certification.

You can also rest assured that our members are always looking at how they can be more sustainable, and that this comes from the top down. Our members’ leadership teams appreciate the three-fold benefits of being a sustainable venue; environmental, social and economic.
