Join us in celebrating IACC Service Week 2022

Service Week will be the opportunity to celebrate your team’s extraordinary efforts over the last 12 months and will be a catalyst to build strong bonds to carry us forward through the year ahead. Sign up online and we will update you in the coming weeks with more information.

Our Goals for Service Week

We have designed Service Week with the following goals:

  • Raise awareness about social responsibility
  • Promote a culture of gratitude and empowerment
  • Boost team morale and motivation
  • Create a commitment to support your community
  • Make positive change to create a better world

Download the Digital Handbook

The new digital handbook contains ideas, tips, and examples of activities to get your team started. There are options that take as little as 15 minutes so you can build momentum throughout the week. Flip through below!

Get involved

During Service Week, focus on different activities you can do with your colleagues and teams keeping the objectives in mind.

We have designed the service week around four pillars which are:

  • Diversity and inclusion
  • Environment
  • Education and training
  • Fight against poverty.

Under these pillars we can stretch our reach across all main aspects of social responsibility. In our digital handbook we have offered some ideas you can pick and choose from to engage in during the service week.

There are so many things you can do with your teams or individually and can be as little as 10 minutes to half day activities. Here are some examples:

  • Watching educational TED talks
  • Reading articles
  • Group activities and team building
  • Donating to charitable causes
  • Volunteering in your community

How you dedicate your time to various causes during this concerted effort is up to you. Even just one activity will have a positive impact whether it is on your team or community.

Get competitive

An independent panel will judge all participation efforts during IACC’s 2022 Service Week, selecting venues that demonstrate exemplary CSR leadership to people, the community, and the environment. To allow small, medium, and large-scale venues the opportunity to compete fairly, judges will choose one winner from each venue category (venue-scale specifications are detailed below). IACC will announce the three global contest winners at the Better Tomorrow Closing Ceremony. The chosen venues will also receive a trophy, digital award package, celebratory highlights across IACC promotional channels, and a video press release.

For the chance to win the contest, we ask that you sign the pledge to show your commitment to participating in the IACC Better Tomorrow Service Week from September 12th to 18th.

Closing ceremony will take place on 28th September.

Small Scale Conference Venue 1-25 Employees
Medium Scale Conference Venue 26-100 Employees
Large Scale Conference Venue 101-249 Employees

Whilst Service Week will be over, our power to help create a better wold, everywhere we meet, will remain.

IACC is creating an opportunity to improve our efficiency, reputation, legacy and environmental impact through our social practices, through three main pillars of focus, People, Community and Environment.

Get social

Be sure to follow IACC Meetings on LinkedIn and join the IACC Service Week event page. We would love to hear your stories, experiences, and see your photos/videos throughout the week, so be sure to share your venue’s efforts on social media and use the hashtag #IACCBetterTomorrowToday

What the IACC Community is saying:

“Sigtunahöjden has worked with sustainability for many years and we also focus on staff conditions/benefits and social sustainability.

We love to be role models and inspire others, and especially our guests and clients but also colleagues in the IACC world and hospitality business.

We hope to give others a push forward to do good things and join in their local communities and see what is possible to do. Sometimes you just need someone to give you a push forward, it does not have to be so hard. It is also nice to show all the different sides in what you do, and we hope to raise awareness and knowledge about what we care for.

We would like to share our co-work with a home for people with function varieties here in Sigtuna. They come and help us in our garden and keep up the outdoors. Their highlight is the “Swedish fika” reward after – coffee/tea and a cinnamonbun and cookies” – Lotta Boman, CEO, Sigtunahöjden
