Get involved
During Service Week, focus on different activities you can do with your colleagues and teams keeping the objectives in mind.
We have designed the service week around four pillars which are:
- Diversity and inclusion
- Environment
- Education and training
- Fight against poverty.
Under these pillars we can stretch our reach across all main aspects of social responsibility. In our digital handbook we have offered some ideas you can pick and choose from to engage in during the service week.
There are so many things you can do with your teams or individually and can be as little as 10 minutes to half day activities. Here are some examples:
- Watching educational TED talks
- Reading articles
- Group activities and team building
- Donating to charitable causes
- Volunteering in your community
How you dedicate your time to various causes during this concerted effort is up to you. Even just one activity will have a positive impact whether it is on your team or community.
Get competitive
An independent panel will judge all participation efforts during IACC’s 2022 Service Week, selecting venues that demonstrate exemplary CSR leadership to people, the community, and the environment. To allow small, medium, and large-scale venues the opportunity to compete fairly, judges will choose one winner from each venue category (venue-scale specifications are detailed below). IACC will announce the three global contest winners at the Better Tomorrow Closing Ceremony. The chosen venues will also receive a trophy, digital award package, celebratory highlights across IACC promotional channels, and a video press release.
For the chance to win the contest, we ask that you sign the pledge to show your commitment to participating in the IACC Better Tomorrow Service Week from September 12th to 18th.
Closing ceremony will take place on 28th September.

Whilst Service Week will be over, our power to help create a better wold, everywhere we meet, will remain.
IACC is creating an opportunity to improve our efficiency, reputation, legacy and environmental impact through our social practices, through three main pillars of focus, People, Community and Environment.

What the IACC Community is saying:
“Sigtunahöjden has worked with sustainability for many years and we also focus on staff conditions/benefits and social sustainability.
We love to be role models and inspire others, and especially our guests and clients but also colleagues in the IACC world and hospitality business.
We hope to give others a push forward to do good things and join in their local communities and see what is possible to do. Sometimes you just need someone to give you a push forward, it does not have to be so hard. It is also nice to show all the different sides in what you do, and we hope to raise awareness and knowledge about what we care for.
We would like to share our co-work with a home for people with function varieties here in Sigtuna. They come and help us in our garden and keep up the outdoors. Their highlight is the “Swedish fika” reward after – coffee/tea and a cinnamonbun and cookies” – Lotta Boman, CEO, Sigtunahöjden
