At the IACC-Americas conference, CEO Mark Cooper shared the 2014 Annual Members Report with delegates.
In a presentation of the reports key findings, he highlighted the highest single year growth in membership globally, with 58 new members. Mark Cooper commented “54 of the new members were conference centres, of which we are seeing a large growth in non-residential day conference centres entering the marketplace globally”.
It was further noted that 6 new countries were added to the list of those where there are IACC conference centres available to planners, Switzerland, Italy, Portugal, Ukraine, Hungary and Kenya.
Conference delegates were updated on other global initiatives such as trade show participation, educational programs, volunteer efforts and the 37% increase in global media coverage of IACC’s 2014 initiatives.
Mark Cooper took the opportunity to thank all of those members who have given so many volunteer hours to IACC globally, which totaled over 4,300 hours across boards, conference committees, project groups and other important volunteer efforts.
