IACC recognizes the vital role that foodservice plays in conference centre operations. Once again, we are proud to announce that we have begun planning for IACC’s 13th Annual Copper Skillet Global Chef of the Year Competition.
This competition is designed to highlight the artistry and skills of IACC-member conference centre chefs from around the world and to appreciate their contributions to our shared goal of providing an outstanding conference experience.
The first stage in the competition is to invite IACC chefs to participate in their country competitions.
There are two categories of entry:
- A senior category (26 years of age and older)
- A junior category (under 26 years)
US Members Competition – Chicago, November 12 2015
IACC invites US chefs to submit entries for the IACC Copper Skillet US Cook-off taking place on Thursday, November 12 at the DoubleTree Suites by Hilton Hotel & Conference Center Chicago – Downers Grove, IL.
Please Save the Date: We will be planning an Education Day on Wednesday, November 11, prior to the US Cook-off, for all participating US chefs and guests. This day of education will include tours of a Chicago pastry school, the Chicago Hilton Palmer House Hotel kitchen as well as a meeting with local farmers who will present on sourcing meat and produce as well as menu planning. please register your interest in attending the educational day by emailing Heidi at hlapka@iacconline.org
Canadian Members Competition – Toronto, November
IACC invites Canadian chefs to submit entries for the IACC Copper Skillet Canadian Cook-off taking place at the BMO Financial Group Institute for Learning, Toronto. Dates and details of how to submit an entry are to be announced in the coming days.
IACC’s popular Copper Skillet competition was introduced in 2004 to highlight the artistry and skill of the best chefs from IACC-member conference centres around the world and to honour their contributions to the shared goal of providing an outstanding conference centre experience.
