Manages event planning functions and staff on a daily basis. Position has overall responsibility for executing all property meeting events with a seamless turnover from sales to operations. Ensures team maximizes revenue opportunities by up-selling and accurately forecasting group rooms and meeting events. The position is responsible for achieving guest and employee satisfaction and for managing the financial performance of the department. Core area of responsibility is the Conference Planning Managers, Conference Set-Up, Audio Visual, IT, Business Center, and Administrative Assistant(s). Position oversees the administrative processes associated with the pre-event and post-event phases of an event and the associated transitions between all event phases. Responsible for the strategic planning of the department as well at the budgeting and capital spending allocations. The position is responsible for achieving guest and employee satisfaction and for managing the financial performance of the department.
Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor’s degree and at least three years of Conference Planning or Catering experience.
Delphi sales and catering software experience is highly preferred. SGMP and/or MPI membership is desirable.
The ability to manage in a diverse environment with focus on client and customer services is essential.
