As a Meeting Services Manager, you will coordinate the activities of staff and conference personnel to make arrangements for group meetings and conferences. Coaches the client by providing information and suggestions pertaining to conferences. Disseminates appropriate information to the operational departments. Acts as liaison between the client and the operation in order to meet client’s needs and expectations.
Participates in departmental meetings, manager meetings and leadership training as needed.
Create custom floorplans based on event’s theme, budget, and client’s requests.
Utilize diagramming program to create diagrams of custom floorplans.
Supervises and assists in the set-up and removal of equipment and furniture for meetings including, but not limited to, staging, chairs, risers, tables, etc.
Supervises equipment storage and orderliness of storage rooms and service corridors.
Supervises scheduled, detailed cleaning of meeting room furniture.
Ensures that meeting room set-ups are thoroughly inspected, to include, checking floors, windows ledges, lights, stains, soils, tears, feet of chairs, table, and stage skirts.
Conducts audits and monitoring of equipment and supply inventory.
Documents and reports facility and/or equipment damage and contacts responsible departments for repair.
Ensures that staff uses safe work methods and practices in performing tasks.
Ensures that staff is responsive and courteous to customers, service contractors and co-workers.
Set up and break down conference rooms according to event orders as well as maintains cleanliness standards for equipment and meeting rooms.
Assemble and arrange conference equipment in conference rooms per event requirements.
Dissemble conference rooms at appropriate break down times requiring bending and lifting up to 70-pound conference and banquet tables into 4-wheel carts, lifting banquet chairs in stacks of 10 to 6-foot height.
Must be able to push, pull, and lift a variety of conference tables and other equipment weighing up to 70 pounds; put risers into place each weighing 150 pounds; move chairs of various weights and styles.
Walking and pushing large equipment carts. Also, must be able to lift and place variety of miscellaneous conference equipment weighing up to 60 pounds.
Maintain conference equipment by checking all aspects of equipment requiring bending and kneeling to the floor level to check legs on chairs, tables, and other equipment.
Perform minor maintenance on conference room equipment requiring good dexterity with tools and cordless equipment.
Performs daily inspections of the tables, chairs, and meeting rooms for repairs. Advises manager of needed repairs.
Provides excellent customer service, anticipating guests’ needs
Maintains a positive attitude towards guests, customers, clients, co-workers, etc.
Adheres to Aramark and Lockheed Martin policies and procedures

Turn off all lights and electronic equipment when not in use.
Report leaky water fixtures, broken or damaged water lines.
Work to continually increase the diversion of solid and organic waste by separating organic waste, recyclables and trash, placing each material into the proper container.
Other duties: Save resources by printing only when necessary and printing double-sided whenever possible
Previous experience in hospitality or meeting services preferred
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills
Demonstrates excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal
Requires constant standing and walking
Requires frequent lifting of up to 50 lbs.
Requires occasional lifting of up to 70 lbs.
